Creating with ICTs
Pedagogy - multimodal = students need opportunities to use and construct a range of media products (Winch et al., 2010).
"Some of our students have difficulty with the mechanics of writing and struggle with organising their thoughts and ideas."
By using ICTs to support the process of writing, aswell as motivate reluctant readers, students are able to use visual images to enhance their writing and express their ideas (Winch et al., 2010).

Storybird is an ICT tool that students can use to to create online stories inspired by art. Working individually or collaboratively students add words to collections of art then have the option to read, publish and print their stories through an online world library. The images help children to express their ideas.
