Communicating with ICTs
Pedagogy - multiliteracies = students need opportunites to learn how different parts of media text help to constuct its overall meaning (Winch et al., 2010).

By using ICTs to support the process of visualising, students are able to become more efficient readers by developing their ability to create mental images as they read (Winch et al.,2010).

Puppet Pals is an iPad storytelling application that allows students to create animated movies and narrated stories. These can then be uploaded to sites such as YouTube.
How do other teachers use it?
Read Mrs. Harju's classroom blog about how she used Puppet Pals with her Year 2 class while working on fables. This application sparked interest in her students allowing them to practise their fluency and language skills.
